Welp, 2023 is coming to an end. Find out what things we particularly liked in 2023 in our annual end of the year episode. First off, I, Sara, am back on the pod after a long and sad hiatus and that’s really all the news that’s important (ha jk jk).
Sara: Depeche Mode in concert at Barclays (ps… don’t get center floor seats in the middle). Here is the setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/depeche-mode/2023/barclays-center-brooklyn-ny-13a0f585.html. Second best thing for me, John Wick 4 came out (cough, Keanu, cough). And lastly, my ankle surgery should fix some issues and I am better than ever.
Nicole: had a baby – so there’s that and her family and friends (so nice!!). Nicole loves television, her favorite thing is television (House of the Dragon, Scarlet and the Duke, The Last of Us, The Night Agent, Star Struck) and one book (Knock out).
Sal: The fjords!!!! Norway trip was a highlight. Sal watches YouTube, he liked the Super Mario Brothers movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 (no joke, Nicole and I cried in the theater), Only Murders in the Building (is it me or does Sal remind you of Steve Martin a little?), The Running Grave novel (A Corman Strike book), what’s the diff between JK Rowling and Robert Galbraith? The YouTube channel Downey Live is highly recommended by Sal- train trips galore! Sal bought a house in 2003 and went to Rome for the first time in 2003 (fun fact) and Nicole was only 16 in 2003 (universal groan by all old people).
