Movies and Wings

Welp, here we are in July. And we are back with a pod about the show Hot Ones and movies. Plus, the MCPL Cafe is now open so come on down to Centereach and grab some coffee!

Nicole discusses the show Hot Ones which can be seen on Hulu and YouTube and is described as, “The show with hot questions and even hotter wings. Watch Sean interview celebrities such as Gordon Ramsay, Tommy Chong, and DJ Khaled as they burn their tastebuds.”¹ We discuss if we like hot food, Nicole did when pregnant, Sal sometimes does, and Sara cannot partake in spicy food. We also promote the show saying how we all enjoy the format and the guests. Sal and Nicole will try the hottest of the hot sauce on our first video pod. You can find books on how to cook your own hot wings in the library in section 641.665 with recipe books such as The Chicken Bible² and Food52 Dynamite Chicken 60 Never-boring Recipes for Your Favorite Bird!³

Sara discusses some of the books we have in non-fiction for the film lover. Found in area 791.4375, we have titles such as, 101 Horror Movies You Must See Before You Die⁴, The Great Movies by Roger Ebert⁴, and Movies of the 90s⁵. While Sara has seen over half the movies in the 101 Horror Movies book, she had a hard time agreeing with this book as it did not include classic titles like The Thing, The People Under the Stairs, or Interview with the Vampire. However, Siri did choose that the next movie title will be Mission Impossible 2 picked from the Movies of the 90s book for our next movie chat.
